An effectiveness trial for a short-term, CBT-based, cognitive remediation intervention called Goal Management Training (GMT). Participants will be individuals with a primary diagnosis of PTSD (Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, as assessed by our team) who are also experiencing associated cognitive dysfunction (e.g., poor focus, memory, disorganization). After treatment, we expect to find a reduction in such cognitive dysfunction, as well as a reduction in PTSD symptom severity, and an increase in work readiness.
All Self-administered Questionnaires, as well as consent, will be completed by participants via REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture). Participants will be emailed web links to access the assessments the day they are to be completed.
GMT Treatment Session via Zoom
GMT is a CBT-based cognitive remediation program. Participants randomly assigned to the GMT group will be asked to attend nine weekly, 2-hour group sessions of GMT with 2 facilitators and 5-7 other participants.
